The caley building
The Caley Building is a two storey structure which was originally built in 1901, with renovations in 1986. The rectangular shape measures 47.5 x 54.5 for a total area of 5,178 square feet.
The wood frame structure has horizontal wood siding along the front, asphalt tile on the sides, and a metal panel rear. The shed style roof is also metal.
The main floor has 4 private suites. Each suite has its own outside entrance. Finish includes carpeting, prefinished wall panels and a T-bar ceiling. The suites have a living room, private bedroom and a 4 piece washroom. Heating is provided by electric baseboards.
The second floor is accessed from a stairwell, which is original to the building. The hallway is carpeted, has a combination of original wood wainscoting, wall paper and a T-bar ceiling. There are 8 rooms on the second floor. All of the rooms have carpet, painted drywall walls and a T-bar ceiling. Each room is equipped with a 4 piece washroom. Heat is provided by electric baseboard. The building is equipped with fire alarms, smoke detectors, no sprinklers. During renovation the electrical was all re-wired with 2 x 200 Amp and re-plumbed.
